Error Words
This one is a judgement call.
A misspelling where we worked out the word that was meant.
Almost all of them are plain slips of the finger, and they stand out because the word underneath is perfectly ordinary. A letter dropped (programmng, direcly, adminstration), a letter too many (availabile), two letters swapped (contineu), or a finger landing on the next key over (brainwashjng, flarfish for flatfish). Nearly always a single character out of place.
A handful are stranger than that. Somewhere in the list's history it was read off a printed page, and f, t and s collapse into each other in a bad scan, three narrow letters with two of them crossbarred. So abstertion is abstersion, not abstention, and fwelling is swelling. It runs both ways: oversness is overtness. Run ,dictionary for where the list came from.
We check dates too. absoil cannot be abseil, because abseiling did not exist when the entry was printed.
