One word with a piece of itself repeated.
This happens at a column or line break in the source. Part of the word gets printed twice when the text is joined back up, so distributution is distribution and elelments is elements.
The tricky part is that English really does repeat endings. caliperer, borosilicic and cardioschisis are all real words. We only call it doubled when deleting the repeat leaves the word that was meant.
